Privacy Policy
Effective May 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how iSourceLocal, LLC (“iSourceLocal,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use isourcelocal.com (the “Service”). We're a Tennessee LLC operating a local-vendor directory. We try to collect only what we need, share even less, and never sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
From everyone who uses the Service:
- IP address, browser type, and pages visited (for security, rate limiting, analytics).
- ZIP codes you enter to search.
If you submit a pre-order or contact form:
- Name, email, phone, and message or order details.
If you create a vendor account:
- Name, email, phone, ZIP code, business name and story, product categories, certifications you choose to share, market schedule, social links, and similar listing information.
Information we generate:
- Approximate latitude/longitude derived from your ZIP code (via Google Geocoding API) to sort vendors by distance.
- Account activity such as logins and listing edits.
2. How we use information
- Operate the directory and show you nearby vendors.
- Deliver pre-order and contact requests to the vendor you selected.
- Send transactional emails (account, confirmations, billing).
- Send marketing emails to vendors and people who opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Prevent abuse, including rate-limiting searches by IP.
- Measure usage and improve the Service.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
3. How we share information
With vendors you contact. When you submit a pre-order or contact request, we share with the vendor only the information needed to fulfill it. The specific fields shared depend on the vendor's subscription level and the features they offer (for example, phone numbers are only shared with vendors who offer SMS contact). Vendors agree to use that information solely to respond to your request and not for unrelated marketing.
With service providers. We use vendors that process data on our behalf, including Supabase (database and auth), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Resend (email delivery), Google (geocoding), and, in the future, Stripe (payments). They are bound by confidentiality and use restrictions.
In aggregated or de-identified form.We may share statistics that don't identify any individual (for example, “vendors in 37027 received 240 search results this month”) with partners, advertisers, or in public reports.
Sponsored placements and affiliate links. We may display paid vendor placements, which will be clearly labeled “Sponsored,” and may include affiliate links to third-party products, from which we may earn a commission.
For legal reasons or business transfers. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Your choices and rights
- Email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional emails are required to use the Service.
- Account. Vendors can edit their listing or request deletion by emailing contact@isourcelocal.com.
- State privacy rights. Depending on where you live (e.g., California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To exercise these rights, email contact@isourcelocal.com. We will verify your request before responding.
- Do Not Track. Our Service does not respond to Do Not Track signals.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to operate the Service and Vercel Analytics for usage measurement. Vercel Analytics does not use third-party cookies. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
6. Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. Pre-order request records are retained for up to 24 months. Search and rate-limit logs are retained for up to 90 days.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures (TLS, signed session tokens, role-based database access) to protect your information. No method is 100% secure; we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Where state law sets a higher threshold, we apply the higher standard. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Effective” date. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email.
